These guys are most likely of the species Fragaria x ananassa which actually means "fragrant pineapple".
But they belong to the familiy of roses and in roman times they were a symbol for the goddess of beauty and love.
There are scenes that want to be shot. Without thinking I have to grab my camera and capture that image. But more often I have to take time and communicate with the object that draws my attention. To get in touch with it, get a feeling for it, might take one or more hours or days, even weeks waiting for weather and light just to be right. And the outcome might be completely different from my original vision. I am moved by aesthetics, the love for the sometimes hidden beauty in our world.
